These old-fashioned layered crumb bars are simply irresistible!
Start to Finish: 1 hour 15 minutes PT1H15M
Makes: 16 bars
1 egg white
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups Cascadian Farm® organic oats & honey granola
1 cup Cascadian Farm® organic raspberry fruit spread
1. Heat oven to 375°F. Grease 8-inch square pan. In large bowl, beat egg white, butter, brown sugar and vanilla with spoon until creamy.
2. Beat in flour, baking powder and baking soda. Stir in granola.
3. Press about two-thirds of the dough in bottom of pan. Spread spreadable fruit over dough to within 1/2 inch of edges. Crumble remaining one-third of dough on top of the fruit. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown and set. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. For bars, cut into 4 rows by 4 rows.
High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
