Peanut Butter Party O's
Natalie Monson from Super Healthy Kids

We have a lot of kids in my neighborhood.  Within a mile radius there are 112 children under the age of 2!!  And ages 3-11 there are 248 kids!  With that many kids there are A LOT of birthday parties.  My kids get to go to a birthday party at least once a month but usually a lot more than that.  When you have a party with small children, I think it is great to have a little something for them to eat or snack on.  These peanut butter party o's are super tasty, but also provide some added nutrients and are made with natural, organic ingredients!

We started out with Cascadian Farm's Organic O's cereal.  Next, in a saucepan I combined brown rice syrup, natural peanut butter, and then butter (or coconut oil if you are dairy free)  Heat until combined, and then pour over your O's.  You can either end here, or you can drizzle a little bit of melted chocolate on the top for a little bit fancier treat.  I served mine in cupcake papers with cute little forks.

This recipe is easily modified or can be added to.  If your child has a peanut allergy, you can substitute almond butter.  You can add other dried fruit and nuts and eat the leftovers as a trail mix!  When you serve food in a colorful container and with fun accessories, kids love it!  Try these at your next party or event as a healthy alternative to cupcakes!
